The 2010 National Film Award goes to Álex de la Iglesia

Álex de la Iglesia received today the pleasant news of having been awarded the National Cinematography Prize, endowed with € 30.000.

The jury for this award has declared that they have awarded him this award for "his undeniable professional, innovative and transgressive career that has enriched the language of our cinema."

Alex de la Iglesia himself declared when he learned:
“The award makes me very ashamed because, although I don't want to look like the typical humble fart, I can think of many other people who are friends of mine and who deserve it more. It is a great joy to me because pasta is good for me ”.

Álex de la Iglesia has in his filmography films such as "The Day of the Beast" and "The Community" that are already part of the best films of our cinema. In addition, he has recently finished filming "Sad Trumpet Ballad" with which he hopes to achieve a good box office success later this year.

Without further ado, congratulations Alex!
