The gala of the 51st edition of the Grammy Awards had great moments and a long list of accolades.

This year, the chosen city was Los Angeles, to which they arrived as wide Candidates rapper Lil Wayne and British band Coldplay, with eight and seven nominations respectively. Latin stars such as the Colombian were also nominated Juanes and the Mexican Luis Miguel.

Starting the celebration, a tribute was made to the enormous Neill Diamond, who was awarded as "Person of the Year", while artists like Coldplay, Jonas Brothers or Jennifer Hudson played their own versions of classics by Diamond.

Coldplay had a double celebration with his Grammy at the best song of the year ("Viva la Vida") and best rock album ("Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends"). Robert Plant and Allison Krauss celebrated with the Grammy for the best recording of the year, for the song "Please Read the Letter", best contemporary folk album, for "Raising Sand", best country collaboration with lyrics, for "Killing the Blues" , and best pop collaboration with lyrics, for "Rich Woman."

For her part, the young singer Adele achieved Best Female Vocal Performance for "Chasing Pavements" and Best New Artist. Jennifer Hudson took the Grammy to best R&B album, for his self-titled album.
