The 10 best-selling vinyls of 2008

While the sales of the CDs they keep falling, the vinyl one is experiencing a rebirth stage.
The figures are overwhelming: Last year a 87% more than in the 2007.

Something -or a lot- has had to do with the fact that Capitol Records decided to relaunch several of his most famous productions: El Abbey Road (The Beatles) was the second best-selling vinyl, the Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd) the seventh and the OK Computer (Radiohead), ranked tenth.

These were the ten albums of vinyl best sellers of 2008:

01. Radiohead - In Rainbows (25,800)
02. The Beatles - Abbey Road (16,500)
03. Guns n 'Roses - Chinese Democracy (13,600)
04. B-52's - Funplex (12,800)
05. Portishead - Third (12.300)
06. Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Airplane (10,200)
07. Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon (10,200)
08. Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes (9,600)
09. Metallica - Death Magnetic (9,400)
10. Radiohead - OK Computer (9,300)

In short, the number of vinyl sold took a huge leap from 988000 in the 2007 but also 1.88 millions in the 2008.
Still, the entries coming from the 'carbon discs'they only represented a 0.1% of total sales of music last year, the year in which they suffered a decrease in 14%.
