Actors Patxo Tellería and Aitor Mazo make their debut directing a feature film with the film "The Cloud Painting Machine" that, with those surnames, it was not possible to shoot anywhere other than Bilbao.
This film will tell us about the life of a teenager named Asier who wants to paint a portrait of the girl he has fallen in love with. This idea of painting comes to him from his father, a painter for the love of art, and from his older brother, who has magnificent gifts for painting but is disenchanted with everything.
All this history is framed in a working-class neighborhood of Bilbao in the last years of the Franco dictatorship.
Aitor Mazo himself, Bingen Elortza, Lander Otaola, Santi Ugalde and Montse Mostaza are its protagonists.
The film will open the Basque Cinema Gala, within the Zinemira-Panorama section of Basque Cinema at the San Sebastián Film Festival.
The Cloud Painting Machine It will be released in theaters on October 2.
