In tune with the huge list of fantastic sagas brought to the movies, next year Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief will hit theaters, the first adaptation of the book for teenagers written by Rick Riordan.
The series of novels that make up Percy Jackson and the Gods of Olympus are a sales boom in the publishing markets and it has begun to make a place among the favorites of the adolescent public, right there where works such as Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings.
This first cinematic installment adapts the first book, Percy Jackson and the Olympian Gods: The Lightning Thief, in a 20th Century Fox blockbuster, and under the direction of Chris Columbus, in charge of the first two adventures of Harry Potter and company.
El script was written by Craig Titley and narrates the life of Percy, a normal boy who one day discovers that he is a Greek demigod, upon being summoned by Zeus to find his stolen beam. The cast will be made up of top-of-the-line actors, such as Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Sean Bean or Rosario Dawson (they will act as Greek gods), although it is clear that the leading role will be played by the famous PercyJackson, played by the young man Logan Lerman.
