'Django Unchained' is the title of the new film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The western is starring: Jamie FoxxChristoph Waltz Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington, Samuel L. Jackson, Walton Gogginsn, Dennis Christopher, Don Johnson, James Remar, James Russo, and Franco Nero, among others.

The story of 'Django Unchained' is set in the South of the United States, two years before the outbreak of the Civil War. Dr. King Schultz is a German-born bounty hunter who follows the trail of murderers: the Brittle brothers. To achieve his goal he seeks the help of a slave named Django (Jamie Foxx). The unorthodox Schultz seizes Django on the promise of letting him go free once they have captured the Brittles, dead or alive. The success they obtain in their mission causes Schultz to release Django, but both decide not to separate and continue on their way together. Django hones his hunting skills with one goal: to find and rescue Broomhilda, the wife he long lost in the slave market. The search for Django and Schultz eventually leads them to Calvin Candie, owner of the infamous Candyland plantation. Django and Schultz explore the facility and arouse the suspicions of Stephen, Candie's trusted slave.

The nearly three-hour duration of Quentin Tarantino's 'Django Unchained' passes quickly by due to the entertaining plot, full of twists, where everything is a lie and that plunges us back into the best of westerns. Without a doubt, a new tribute to the seventh art to add to Tarantino's extensive filmography.

Between interesting and extensive conversations, scenes loaded with irrepressible violence and an excellent visual quality, Tarantino openly addresses his main setting in the times of slave shame and the cotton plantations. Remarkable is the magnificent interpretive work of Jamie Foxx, and also, although to a lesser extent, the hilarious Christoph Waltz. And of course, also highlight the role of DiCaprio and Franco Nero, who are two more in an excellent secondary squad for this film that some say could mean the dismissal of Tarantino from the big screen. Although it is worthy of it, let's hope it is not so.
