Suzanne Vega will release new album in February

Without a doubt Suzanne Vega is one of the most recognized American singer-songwriters of the last decades. An example of this has been the number of rappers who have sampled their work for years, although Vega has decided to take revenge, announcing that soon she will be the one to take inspiration from other artists. Specific Suzanne Vega has sampled fragments of the song 'Candy Shop' by rapper 50 Cent, to use it in one of the singles that will be included in his next album, to be published in February.

Vega's legendary song 'Tom's Diner' 1987 has been sampled nearly forty times by different artists, including the Black Eyed Peas, Snoop Dogg, Tupac and the Danger Mice. Vega is known in the musical environment as an author open to agree to share her work for other artists as long as prior authorization is requested.

Vega recently said that while recording the song 'Don't Uncork What You Can't Contain' for his new album, he recalled the rhythms of 'Candy Shop', which is why Vega came into contact with 50 Cent, who declares himself a fan of Vega and gave him approval to sample excerpts from the rapper's song. 'Tales from the Realm of the Queen of Pentacles' is the name of the new album, which will be released under Vega's own label and which will represent the return of the New Yorker after a professional hiatus of seven years.
