Stromae tries to escape cancer in the video for "Quand C'est?"

Stromae

Belgian singer, songwriter and producer Paul Van Haver, better known as Stromae, rose to fame thanks to that more than danced in 2009 'Alors on danse'. Since that first pitch, Stromae's career has brought him success after success. With only two albums on the market, Stromae can boast of having squeezed the most out of a single: eight taken from the first album, 'Cheese', and eight - with the current one - also from the second, 'Racine carrée'.

Much has happened since that 'Alors on danse', although this beginning of "Musical maturity" it is something that feels divine to Stromae. The video clip we are talking about today is a clear example of that maturity. 'Quand C'est?' is the eighth single from 'Racine carrée' (2013), a song that puts you face to face with the cold reality of cancer. A subject as hard as this could not be accompanied by a better video clip. Directed by Xavier Reyé, this black and white video shows Stromae performing a -wonderful- choreography in an abandoned theater taken over by creatures that represent the disease from which the artist tries to escape by dancing.

As a curious fact, how many gamers has this video clip reminded them of the award-winning 'Limbo'? That black and white with the giant spider legs trying to hunt down Stromae could not be more 'Limbo'.
