"It was like a rediscovery of friendship within the band itself and all the creative freedom that it brings," Williams said. 'Paramore' has been produced by Justin Meldal-Johnson, a previous contributor to Beck, Nine Inch Nails and M-83, among others.
The band was formed in Franklin, Tennessee, in 2004, by Williams and Davis along with Josh Farro (lead guitar and backing vocals), Zac Farro (drums), and Jason Bynum (rhythm guitar). In 2008, Paramore received its first Grammy Award nomination in the Best New Artist category, however it was not a winner. The same year, he won Best Rock Band and Best Rock Song for "Decode" at the Teen Choice Awards.
