Stefan Kudelski passes away

Stefan kudelski

There are times when many people do not know great personalities within the world of cinema, but they are not famous fans such as actores or directors and this is one of those cases where not everyone recognizes the protagonist of the next story.

Stefan kudelski, father of the Nagra II, the synchronized audio recorder, considered one of the basic audio tools of independent cinema, has died at the age of 83 in Switzerland, as reported by The New York Times.

This recorder gave a generation of filmmakers the ability to have great quality sound. The model known as Nagra III appeared in 1958 and allowed the audio track to be synchronized with the image.

Together with the 16-millimeter camera, it did not take too long to become an essential element for the development of independent cinema. Kudelski is gone but he has left a great legacy and a good number of accolades such as his four Oscars for his technical contributions to the world of cinema.
