Actor Sylvester Stallone with "The mercenaries" has achieved the best debut at the American box office, achieving last weekend a whopping 35 million dollars. With these data, surely, we will soon have a second part in theaters.
On the other hand, the other more commercial premiere of the weekend, "Eat Pray Love", has had to settle for second place with a collection of 23,7 million dollars. Julia Roberts and Javier Bardem can already score another success in their careers because, apparently, the word of mouth is being positive and will not lose many viewers next week.
The third position of the US box office is for the previous Nº1, the comedy "The other guys" that already accumulates 70 million dollars.
In fourth place we are "Source" which registers 248 million dollars, being the highest grossing film of the year not released in 3D.
In fifth place, we are faced with the fiasco of the weekend, the film adaptation of the comic «Scott Pilgrim VS. The World » only 10, 5 million. Very little money for a production of 60 million dollars so we are facing another of the many fiascos at the box office this year.
