Finally, the details of the long-delayed collaboration between St Vincent and David Byrne, a joint effort that will be released on September 11 under the name "Love This Giant."
The album was recorded on a two year period, and the couple recorded 10 of the 12 songs together, while the remaining two songs were composed by each musician individually.
Talking about this collaboration, St Vincent (aka Annie clark) said:
“I think I reached the pinnacle of what I am aiming for by working on this. He composed the music, I composed the music; He wrote the lyrics, I wrote the lyrics. He sings half the songs, I composed half the songs. I have never been so closely intertwined in the composition, the arrangements, the singing and the process of writing lyrics with anyone ”.
The couple also announced a North America tour, about which Byrne said: "We are going to be doing these songs and a lot of other songs that I suspect people will already know, along with a group that includes 8 wind instruments, a keyboardist and a drummer."
