Spielberg and Jackson will "cheer" on Tintin again

AIn the end, the one who follows her gets it. The King Midas of Hollywood, Steven Spielberg, has finally managed to launch the project for the popular comic book character Tintin, to appear in a trilogy of computer-animated films that he will make with Australian director Peter Jackson. DreamWorks studios confirmed today the expected news among the millions of followers that this young journalist from the world of comics, always accompanied by his dog Milou, has all over the planet.

The plans include the realization of a trilogy where one of the films will have Spielberg as director and the other with Jackson, without yet knowing who will be the third director. Nor is it known which adventures (of the 23 albums) will end up taking to the big screen.

In all three films, the character that Hergé created and all the supporting characters as well as his universe will be recreated by computer-generated animation using motion capture techniques similar to those used in other Dreamworks animation films.

Like many other Tintin fans, Spielberg is one of those in love with the Hergé universe and for 25 years he has been trying to get rights that he finally got last year.

The WETA Digital studios, which have already been in charge of the special effects of the trilogy of "The Lord of the Ring", may have filmed about 20 minutes of test with this character, using the mentioned techniques that offer at the same time movement realism in a fantastic setting.
