Ari Folman, who already surprised us in 2008 with his animated documentary "Waltz with Bashir", will present this new film at the Directors Fortnight inside of the Cannes film festival.
Third tape of Ari folman, which is filming an American production for the first time after its two previous Israeli feature films.
"The Congress" is the free adaptation of the novel "The Futurological Congress"To Stanislaw Lemm and it tells how the government launches some chemical products in the environment of Costarricania, a country in which a congress is being held to address the problems that are destroying the future of humanity. These products induce people to do good, to repent and seek forgiveness, all with the idea that the population does not rebel.
In the cast of the film we can find Robin wright penn, Paul giamatti, Harvey Keitel, Frances Fisher, Kodi Smit McPhee y Danny Huston, among others.
