Soraya presents «You Didn't Do It»… So yeah!

Soraya You didn't do it

Since we discovered Soraya In that 'Operación Triunfo 2005' it was more than clear to all of us that the future of this girl was in the disco, dance, electro ... whatever, as long as this was left over from "unch ... unch ..." and they brought it to us with catchy lyrics and showing off her spectacular voice (yes… I like Soraya… a lot).

Last week Soraya reappeared with a new single titled 'You didn't do it'. Before I started listening to him I remembered that his latest album, 'Universe In Me', despite having a good production, was a bit flat on a vocal level. Let me explain: Soraya has us very badly accustomed to a vocal power of those that make your hair stand on end from the first minute, but in 'Universe In Me' I did not meet that Soraya. I won't talk about 'Con Fuego', since I keep finding it more like Yurena or Rebeca than Soraya… but that's a personal opinion.

But then came the part where I hit the play of 'You didn't do it' and the living room turned into a disco and I danced with my skates on. Soraya, daughter, so yes. 'You didn't do it' overflows with a 70's album everywhere to the point of almost abusing, but it is one of those abuses that you love. To look for a negative point I will again claim more vocal strength, but it is only to find the three feet of the cat, because as I write this I have not stopped listening to the song over and over again. 'You didn't do it' is -for me- the single that Soraya deserved. And if you already tell me that this single will be accompanied by an LP of the same cut, I think I could start to hyperventilate. I insist: Soraya, yes.
