The privileged Barcelona will be one of the 6 cities that will receive the Sonisphere, a new festival that brings together a good part of the best bands of the current metal scene.
The festival will land in the Spanish city next July 11 at the Forum in Barcelona, where will they play Metallica, Slipknot, Mastodon and Lamb of God. Americans led by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, headline the festival that will just go for its first edition.
The organizers plan is that the 4 bands are spread over two stages of the Parc del Fòrum, playing their songs alternately known, without stepping on, so that the fans enjoy a song by Metallica, another one Slipknot, etc, and so on, until the round is completed.
The creators of the Sonisphere They are none other than those of the Monters of Rock and Download, two festivals that went very well in the world. In addition to Barcelona, the festival includes 5 other European cities: Nijmegen (Netherlands), Hockenheim (Germany), Pori (Finland), Hultsfred (Sweden) and Stevenage (United Kingdom). The intention of the organizers is to expand it and bring it to the level of ozzfest.
Ticket sales begin on February 16 and can be purchased at Fnac, Carrefour, through Tick Tack Ticket and online at Mosaicodiffusion.com. The price of the same will be 70 euros.
