There are two characteristics that will define the new work -first with the company Matador Records- of this North American group: “Focused on rock"And"experimental".
This has been confirmed by its singer and guitarist, Thurston Moore.
"When I started writing, I was almost always listening to material from The Whipers (American punk-rock band)… Unsurprisingly, the first song we recorded had a lot of them"He commented.

The new album is focused on rock, but it's still experimental… we're still Sonic Youth… I still don't know how to play a guitar"He added.
The new album, still unnamed, could be among us for him next summer.
