A good part of the programming for the next edition of Sónar Barcelona has just been discovered. Without a doubt, The Roots are one of the festival's bets, considered one of the best hip hop groups today. Besides them, Isam, Deadmau5, Diamond Version (Alva Noto and Byetone's project), will bring their extrasensory load to the Barcelona festival. And they will not be the only ones. The masters of the electronic dance floors join the party: Richie Hawtin, Azari & III, Jacques Lu Cont, Modeselektor, Ital, John Talabot, Luciano or Laurent Garnier (presenting his latest project, LBS). And more party, but with the electronic pop of Hot Chip, Austra, Metronomy and Friendly Fires.
Although, as always, Sónar has reserved a part of its programming for all those names that sound strong, generations that push and claim their place in the electronic scene, such as the well-known James Blake, Maya Jane Coles, Jacques Greene, Julio Bashmore, Thundercat, Cooly G, The Suicide Of Western Culture, Uner or Blawan, among others. Mouse On Mars, Squarepusher, Peaking Lights, Maria Minerva, LA Vampires, Plapla Pinky or Supersilent, -with British musician John Paul Jones- and the show of the BBC Radio with Annie Mac and other guests, are some of the first confirmations revealed.
A varied lineup that brings together the freshest, riskiest and most danceable trends on the electronic scene. Sónar Barcelona will take place on June 14, 15 and 16 in various spaces in the Ciutat Comtal and you can get your subscription for € 155 and even, if you want, pay it in two installments until March 31.
