This year there have been few surprises in the Oscars Gala, except for the Oscar for Best Actor where the big favorite was Mickey Rourke and, instead, Sean Penn has won the Oscar for his role in Milk.
The triumphant film of the Oscars 2009 has been the production, almost independent, Slumdog Millionaire, a beautiful film that I highly recommend, directed by Danny Boyle who has won 8 Oscars out of the 10 for which he chose, among them, Best Picture and Best Director.
Also, if you watch the video, seeing the children who appear in the film on stage collecting their award has led me to think that they at that moment have achieved the American dream.
