Remake of '20.000 Leagues Under the Sea 'directed by Bryan Singer

20.000 leagues of underwater travel

Bryan Singer has announced on the day of his 50th birthday that his next film will be a remake of '20.000 Leagues Under the Sea ' ('20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ').

Years ago Disney launched a project on this same work by Jules Verne with the intention that David Fincher would be behind the cameras, and there was even talk that Brad Pitt could play Captain Nemo, but finally this production was stalled.

Now it is the director strongly linked to the 'X-Men' saga who is going to carry out a new adaptation of '20.000 leagues of underwater travel ', after which Richard Fleischer carried out in 1954 with Kirk Douglas as the protagonist.

From the script of this new version of Jules Verne's novel that was published almost a century and a half ago, specifically in 1969, Rick Sordelet and Dan Studney will be in charge, two screenwriters who already worked with Bryan Singer on 'Jack the Giant Slayer'.

Bryan Singer also wanted to make it clear that this new project is not going to make him leave the 'X-Men' franchise, of which the director has just shot his last installment to date 'X-Men: Apocalypse' ('X-Men: Apocalypse'). We bet Bryan Singer will take over the next Mutant movie.
