Reese Witherspoon will play the jazz singer Peggy lee, in a biopic that is being prepared of the vocalist where the actress also produces.
Witherspoon acquired the rights to the film 10 years ago. Norah ephron (When Harry Met Sally) will write and direct the film, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
Peggy lee She was an icon in the 40s, and she was also an actress, appearing in musical films such as The Jazz Singer and Pete Kelly's Blues. Recall that Reeese won the Oscar in 2005 as Best Actress for her role as Jun Carter, in the Johnny Cash biopic 'Walk the Line'.
