Every day I am more convinced that the best cinema we have seen in the last decade in a movie theater comes from animated cinema. There we have jewels like the recent "Toy Story 3", "Chico & Rita" or "Wall-e" and any from the Pixar factory.
Thus, the movie "Rank", directed by Gore Verbinski ("Pirates of the Caribbean") and whose main character, a curious chameleon, voices and gestures the American film star Johnny Depp, is a good example of what I mentioned in my first paragraph. Of course, although it is not a jewel of animation, it is much better than the 90% of the films that fill our cinemas every weekend.
"Rango" is a homage of animated cinema to the Western genre and completes it with a very entertaining footage where all the topics of this genre appear: duels in the sun, chases, the hero alone before everything and everyone, the villain, etc.
Without a doubt, this film is a good option for families with young children to spend a good evening going to the movies.
