After the last installment of Rocky, Sylvester Stallone remains infatuated with resurrecting those movies that made him famous. Now it will be Rambo's turn, that soldier who in the first part escaped from the police of his country, and then jumped to the Middle East to lead a resistance in Afghanistan.
For now, the American actor is dedicated to promoting his new movie, The Expendables, that brought together great icons of action cinema from the 80's and 90's (Dolph LundgrenMickey Rourke), but once he's done with it, he'll put all his energy into developing the green beret story.
The plot of Rambo V will be about a group of genetically modified super soldiers who escape from a laboratory, causing all kinds of problems. There appears Rambo, who is summoned by the US government to try to stop these men.
As is customary, Stallone will have full control of the film: he will write the script, direct and star. The premiere is scheduled for mid to late 2011.
