After incident in toronto, in which the ceiling of a stage where Radiohead was supposed to play collapsed, killing one of their technicians and leaving three others seriously injured, the group has decided to postpone part of their tour.
They have been the ones who have provided a press release in which they explain that after the collapse of the stage, they have to live very hard times due to the loss of a partner, -Scott Johnson-, and also, a good part of their material has been destroyed.
“The accident also caused a part of our light set to be destroyed, which is unique and will take weeks to replace. Also, the fall flattened much of our backline, and some items are so old that finding parts to fix it will take a long time. "
However, they do not cancel the entirety of their tour scheduled for this summer, only the closest concerts, such as those in Italy, Germany and Switzerland and promise to offer them again. The rest of their confirmed dates -among which is the BBK Live festival- are still standing. The band, for its part, is committed to "doing as well as we can and as circumstances allow." Hopefully very soon they will be able to relocate the concerts that have to be postponed and that the only thing the public has to worry about is enjoying "The King of Limbs" and the rest of Radiohead's discography.
