Prince to release two albums simultaneously in September

Prince 3rdEyeGirl Art

Last Monday (25) the American musician Prince announced that he will release two albums simultaneously on September 26, one solo that will bear the name 'Art Official Age', and the second with his band '3rdEyeGirl', which will be titled 'Plectrum Electrum'.

'Art Official Age' It will be released through Warner Bros. Records, the label with which he had a contract from 1978 until the mid-1990s, when they fought over the rights to his discography. At that time (1996) Prince changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol and appeared in the press photographed with the word "slave" on his cheek, promising to re-record the 17 albums he released with the label and threatening to sell them on his own.

Last April, Prince finally struck a deal with Warner and finally obtained the rights to his music and signed a new deal for his record material. According to the statement issued by Warner, 'Art Official Age' is a work that presents an elegant mix of soul, R&B and funk as the Minneapolis musician has never performed before. This will be his first album since the 20 edition of '2010Ten'. The second album to be released in September will be 'Plectrum Electrum', work in which '3rdEyeGirl', the women's band formed by guitarist Donna Grantis, drummer Hannah Ford Welton and bassist Ida Nielsen will also participate.
