Preview Sitges 2014: «Réalité» by Quentin Dupieux

Reality

Quentin Dupieux will return once again to the Sitges Festival with his new work "Réalité".

The French director attended the Catalan competition for the first time with his second film «Rubber«, A rarity that won the Young Jury Prize in 2010.

After that, the Frenchman has become one of the recurring filmmakers of the contest and has been present with his following works, «Wrong»In 2012 and«Wrong cops"In 2013.

With a totally recognizable style, between the surrealist and the post-humorous, Quentin Dupieux returns once more to the Sitges Festival with "Réalité".

«Reality»Tells the story of Jason, who dreams of directing his first horror movie. A wealthy producer named Bob Marshal agrees to finance the project but on one condition, Jason has to find the most perfect scream in movie history. In this strange quest, the protagonist will find himself immersed in one of his worst nightmares.

A strange argument very much in line with the previous works of the filmmaker, who bets on totally surreal situations, in favor of humor but also of involving the viewer by proposing an intellectual challenge.

Starring in the film, the little known Jonathan Spencer and the actor and director Alain Chabat, author of such films as "Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra" ("Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatre").
