The next Friday, On the 11th, "EL PRADO DE LAS ESTRELLAS" will premiere on Spanish screens., the latest film by the acclaimed Cantabrian director Mario Camus («The Holy Innocents","La Colmena").
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has considered that the performances of the two main actors in the film deserve to be among the best of the Spanish feature films of this year 2007. Thus, the veteran Álvaro de Luna («La Barraca», « Nightmare for a Rich Man ”) has won a Goya nomination for Best Leading Actor and the newcomer Óscar Abad for Best New Actor.
The plot of the film revolves around Alfonso, a retired man who befriends Martín, a young cycling fan. Alfonso, supported by his friends, will make Martín a great champion, and more importantly, a great boy.
Álvaro de Luna and Óscar Abad share a cast with Marián Aguilera ("Dear Beings", "You must not be here"), Antonio de la Torre ("Mataharis", "Azuloscurocasinegro") and Rodolfo Sancho ("The Community", "Much Blood »).
