GoodDirected by Vincent Amorim (I walk in the clouds) and starring Viggo Mortensen, together with Jason Isaacs, Jodie whittaker y Gemma Jones, premiered at the last Toronto Film Festival, it is the film adaptation of the award-winning play of the same name by Cecil Philip Taylor.
It tells the story of John Halder (Viggo Mortensen), a literature professor in Germany in the 30s, a good and honest man with personal problems. Halder publishes a novel and his book is used by various politicians to support government propaganda and from that moment on Halder's career as a writer takes off thanks to an optimistic current of nationalism and prosperity. That change in luck makes him make seemingly unimportant decisions, but increasingly compromising and with devastating consequences for the people around him.
