The British artist PJ Harvey recently announced that in a few days she will begin recording her ninth studio album, a work that will be the continuation of 'Let England Shake' released in 2011. The singer-songwriter announced that this new project will be conceived in a totally unpublished way, since she will carry out all the recording process in the presence of a select audience and in a special environment totally exposed to these privileged people who will be able to see PJ Harvey in the middle of the production process.

The album will be part of a new project that PJ Harvey titled 'Recording in Progress' (Recording in progress), an initiative that is related to the singer-songwriter's growing interest in expanding the frontiers of her creativity. The album will be recorded in a virtual glass box that will allow the invited public to attend the sessions for periods of a maximum of 45 minutes.

The artist declared to the press in this regard: “I want Recording in Progress to function as if we were exhibited in an art gallery. I hope that visitors are able to experience how the energy of the recording process flows ”. The recording in this kind of open confinement will begin from next January 16, in a wing of the Somerset House, a neoclassical palace from the 1997th century dedicated since XNUMX to host artistic events, and guests to these recordings will be able to attend on Fridays and Saturdays.
