Jason Statham (Parker), Jennifer Lopez (Leslie), Nick Nolte (Hurley), Michael Chiklis (Melander), Clifton Collins Jr. (Ross), Wendell Pierce (Carlson), Micah Hauptman (Hardwicke), Emma Booth (Claire) and Patti Lupone (Ascension), among others, are put at the service of the script by John J. McLaughlin, Based on the novel "Flashfire" by Donald E. Westlake.
With this cast and script, Taylor Hackford has brought his film forward 'Parker', which premiered last Friday, March 8, covered by an important advertising campaign in our country, to become new popcorn cinema icon.
"Parker" tells us the story of a thief who is betrayed by his team and left for dead. Assuming a new identity and forming a peculiar alliance with an attractive woman, he will try to get revenge on them.
Despite the director's efforts, the protagonists, with Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez at the head, are the most forced, Nick Nolte being the only one who saves the guy, more for his tables than for his character.
In short, we find a weak film, with very forced performances, riddled with ridiculous sequences, and one of those that is better to see on the sofa in case you fall asleep. Very expendable.
