Spanish actor Óscar Jaenada has been awarded as best actor in a Mexican film for 'Cantinflas' at the Canacine Awards, some awards that are granted by the National Chamber of the Cinematographic and Videogram Industry since 2004.
Óscar Jaenada wins this award for putting himself in the shoes of the mythical Mexican comedian in Sebastián del Amo's film, film that was competing for four more awards as they are best film, best direction, best advertising campaign and best song for Aleks Syntek for the song "Laugh at love until you die", the latter winning.
The great winner of these awards has been Jorge Ramírez Suárez's film 'Guten Tag, Ramón' which has won the main awards of best film and best director.
The interpretive awards have gone to, in addition to the aforementioned Óscar Jaenada, to Lisa Owen for 'The Unusual Catfish' as Best Actress, Sebastián Aguirre for 'Perfect Obedience' as a male interpretive promise and Karen Martínez for 'La caula de oro' as a female interpretive promise.
