The award for Best Actor went to Daniel Day-Lewis by 'Wells of Ambition', while Marion Cotillard for her role as Edith Piaf in "La Vie en Rose" she was Best Actress. In both cases it was deserved.

Then, Tilda Swinton She was awarded Best Supporting Actress for "Michael Clayton," taking the statuette from Cate Banchett. Other awards included: Best Original Screenplay to Diablo Cody for "Juno", Best Screenplay Adapted to the Coen Brothers for "No Country for Old Men", Best Non-English Language Film "The Counterfeiters" and Best Animated Film "Ratatouille".
