'Once upon a time in Anatolia' is the new proposal by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, that comes to us from Turkey and Bosnia Herzegovina. A drama performed by: Muhammet Uzuner (doctor Cemal), Yilmaz Erdogan (commissioner), Taner Birsel (accuser), Ahmet Mumtaz Taylan (driver), Firat Tanis (suspect) and Ercan Kesal (Mukhtar), among others, giving life to the script by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Ebru Ceylan and Ercan Kesal.

In the movie "Once Upon a Time in Anatolia", a murderer tries to guide a team of policemen to the place where he buried the body of his victima, in the heart of the Anatolian steppes. In the course of this journey, a series of clues will bring the truth to the surface.

The prestigious Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan received in 2011 the Jury Prize of the Cannes film festival for 'Once upon a time in Anatolia', and we are not surprised. The film evokes loneliness, lies, contradictions that occupy society on a day-to-day basis, all of them real emotions, far from superficial and topical cinematographic conventions.

Looking for a negative side to the film, I would highlight its footage, which is perhaps excessive. But I assure you that if you overcome this obstacle, you will find yourself in front of a jewel of Bilge Ceylan, which will allow you to discover a story where discriminatory treatment of women, ambition and social inequalities prevail. Highly recommended.
