The nominees for the USC Scripter Award, an award that rewards the best screenplay adapted from a novel of the year.

All candidates for Oscar in best adapted screenplay of this year will also compete for this award.

The USC Scripter has gone this year to nominate five films to be nominated for the award six, as well as the five Oscar nominees It is also nominated «The Perks of Being a Wallflower«.

Tony Kushner for "Lincoln"

David O. Russell for "Silver Linings Playbook"
Chris Terrio for "Argo"

These awards usually coincide with the Oscar winners, in fact all the winners of the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay have been nominated for these awards, with the exception of "Infiltrados" in 2006 and Traffic in 2000 that did not appear as candidates for these awards since they are not literary adaptations.
