These awards usually coincide with the Oscar winners, in fact all the winners of the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay have been nominated for these awards, with the exception of "Infiltrados" in 2006 and Traffic in 2000 that did not appear as candidates for these awards since they are not literary adaptations.
