Nominations for the Hairdressing and Makeup Guild Awards have been announced and among the nominees are: shortlisted for the Oscar in that category.
"The Lone Ranger", shortlisted for the Oscar, has won two nominations, the one for best historical or bipic hairdresser and the best makeup in a historical film or biopic.
In the hairdressing category, it faces another of the shortlisted for the Oscar, "American Hustle" and "Jobs", a film that was left out of the fight for the Oscar for best makeup and hairdressing after the shortlist.
In the makeup category, her rivals are two of those that are also up for the Academy Award in this section, "Dallas Buyers Club" and "The Great Gatsby."
The rest of the Oscar shortlisted "Bad Grandpa", "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters" and "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" earn a Guild Nomination in the Best Makeup Effects category.
In the categories for contemporary films, "One Chance" has won the nominations for best hairdresser in contemporary film, where it has as rivals "Unfinished Song" and "The Butler", and best make-up in contemporary film where it will fight for the award with "August: Osage County" and "Prisoners."
