We were few and ... It seems that the Colombian Shakira wants to dabble on screen, after a tour ends that has her traveling all over the world. Why do singers or musicians insist on being actors? Wouldn't they have to do an acting course, minimally?
The issue is that Shakira had long in mind to film with Mike Nichols, director of the classic 'The graduate', and as we now find out, the conditions would be in place for the delayed project to be completed. Some rumors indicated that the singer was going to work with the Mexican Alfonso Arau in a biography of the tanguero Carlos Gardel, but it was rejected.
I dislike Jennifer López (well, it's not that bad ...) and there are very few musicians who achieved good performances in cinema (the vice versa is the same). Let's hope that Shakira goes through this new facet with more glory than sorrow, although we actually prefer her on stage. They say that the title of the film could be, in a remarkable attack of originality, 'The hips do not lie' ...
