"No Freedom", the return of Dido

Dido He has released his new video, which we can see here: it is the single «no freedom", included in his new album 'Girl Who Got Away', now on sale. The vocalist appears in an empty city in the clip surrounded by candy.

It took four years after the release of the album 'Safe Trip Home' (which sold more than three million copies), for the blonde vocalist to announce the publication of this fourth album, 'Girl Who Got Away'. After selling 29 million records in his career, Dido returns with songs of "defiance, hope and broken hearts" -according to the label- that will surely once again place the British artist at the top of the international scene.

Similar to her debut 'No Angel', the new 'Girl Who Got Away' is wrapped in electronic sounds over which Dido's powerful voice prevails. As in 'No Angel' (and in the following 'Life For Rent' of 2003) most of the lyrics of the new album have been written by the artist herself, who has produced the album with her older brother Rollo Armstrong, founder of Faithless.

"It was a really fun recording," said Dido. "I had no pressure and everything has been natural and easy." The Brit has worked with collaborators such as Brian Eno, Jeff Bhasker, Rick Nowels, Greg Kurstin and Rollo Armstrong. Born in 1971 in London, her full name is Dido Florian Cloud of Bounevialle O'Malley Armstrong, she rose to fame with her debut album 'No Angel' (1999), which sold more than 14 million copies worldwide, winning several awards, including the MTV Europe Music Awards for Best New Artist, two NRJ Awards for Best New Artist and Best Album, and two BRIT Awards for Best British Artist and Best Album.
