New EP by SINGLE

SINGLE's new EP delves even further into the unexplored terrain revealed by their first two EP's and their fabulous debut album. The song that opens the album is that resounding declaration of intent that gave the album its title, "Pío pío." A sampladelic symphony with Bollywood airs that forms a multicolored collage based on cutting and pasting miniatures from all origins (from reggae, country, easy listening, even a very brief reference to KRAFTWERK), creating impossible melodies and completely new rhythms.

Along with the pianistic chirping of the star theme there are three other songs that are not inconsiderable: «Chinese tea» is a lyrical and mischievous tour de force to the rhythm of a waltz between Teresa and his regular collaborator at the piano, Raphael William (POP TOPS). Next, the stupendous «Cantiga to ask for two tostoes» is a version of the song by the Portuguese singer Jose Mario Branco. The frantic and psychedelic version of SINGLE has the collaboration again of Raphael William to the piano and from ANTI to the second voices (work that he also does live). Finally, «Los Muebles» is a poetic and aggressive song at the same time, with a marked experimental cut: a Teresa transvestite in Yoko Ono Iberica is scoffed at by the counterpoint of the serene and warm voice of jose anitua (ex CANCER MOON), with whom they previously collaborated on the song "Sic transit gloria mundi", the last song from the latest LE MANS album.

And we have not yet talked about the cover, that spectacular photograph where you play with the image of Teresa as a bird-woman. Once again, both the photo and the helmet he wears Teresa they are work (master) of Javier Aramburu: officially Aramburu has stopped doing album covers, but not for SINGLE, fortunately for everyone.
