And it is that the organization of the prestigious contest has not been able to resist including directors who have been very important for the contest such as the winner of a Palme d'Or and a Jury Prize Apichatpong Weerasethakul, the winner of the Camera d'Or and a Grand Jury Prize Naomi Kawase, the winner of the award for best director Brilliant Mendoza or the winner of the award for best film in the Un certain regard section Michael Franco.
They have also wanted filmmakers like Gaspar Noah o Robert Guédiguian, regulars of the contest who will present their new works out of competition.
'Chronic'by Michel Franco and'Valley of love'by Guillaume Nicloux are the only additions that will fight for the Palme d'Or, while Naomi Kawase will be in charge of opening the Un certain regard section with her film'AN'.
