When Disney announced that it had no intention of continuing with adaptations of The Chronicles of Narnia, the work of CS Lewis it seemed doomed to the most absolute abandonment.

However, and after some negotiations regarding rights, an agreement was reached so that Twentieth Century Fox and Walden Media studios will resume the franchise. Taking away from the two films already filmed, Fox's idea is to use Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader, as a form of restart the whole story.

AfterThe Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, for this new installment, the actor Ben Barnes would return for the role of King Caspian, as would the director of the first two adventures, Andrew Adamson only now I eat Associate producer.

The director chosen by Fox will be Michael Apped and the premiere of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is expected in December 2010.
