After seven long years of silence, the duo formed by actress Najwa Nimri and producer Carlos Jean, najwajean, return to the music scene with the first single from their new album, 'Bonzo', which will be released next Friday, November 27. The first single from this new work by the duo bears the same name as the album, 'Bonzo', and sounds a bit different than that recent 'Waiting' that announced their return in the middle of this past summer.
If 'Waiting' sounded to us at that successful step forward of what their previous albums had been, even with that risky point that turned out to have -at least for me- 'Till it breaks' (2008), which achieved moments that sounded like a kind of «Moloko guiterrero» that ended up being totally cool, with 'Bonze' we find something totally different, closer at times to Missy Elliott -to give an example- and that does not give as much prominence to that special point that Nawja Nimri's voice has when singing. The video clip for 'Bonzo' has been directed by Virgili Jubero.
So that the wait until the release of 'Bonzo' does not get too long - although there is not so much left - Najwajean will unlock a new album theme every Friday until November 27th let this new material see the light. I leave you below with the video clip of 'Bonzo'.
