Trailer for the film "The disciple (Jesus, the undisclosed story)"

This weekend three Spanish films will be released: the commercial "Que se mueran los feos", and the completely expendable "ESO" and "The Disciple (Jesus, the undisclosed story)".

This latest film, directed by director Emilio Ruiz Barrachina, with the script and production by himself, is, to put it mildly, "a shitty movie." The worst movie I have seen in theaters in many years. A shame for Spanish cinema ...

The synopsis of this movie, in case someone dares to go see it, is the following:

As a child, Jesus attends the death of his father, Joseph, in a confrontation with the Roman troops. Years later he became the favorite disciple of John "The Baptist", the leader of a group of Maccabees who announced the imminent arrival of the Kingdom of Heaven, the first consequence of which was the expulsion of the Roman invaders. When John is beheaded, Jesus leads the group and organizes the assault on the temple in Jerusalem. In this way, the same known facts from the Gospels take on a completely different character. The project is based on the latest studies carried out by researchers of international stature, which frames the film in a more real historical context, while at the same time giving the character of Jesus a new perspective on his life.
