Mortal Kombat 2010 on Stand By

If on January 26 JFP presented you with a news about the next shooting of the new movie Mortal Kombat based on the popular video game, today I have bad news for the fans of this video game, for now there will be no movie.

The production of this new footage has been halted due to a legal dispute between the production company Warner Bros and Threshold Entertainment. From this last company, the agreement reached with the Midway company during the nineties to launch various products related to the popular saga has been presented.

Among these products are the two films that have already been released to this day and this agreement was renegotiated again in 2006 with the aim of producing another film, for its part, Warner Bros had already started the production of this film and now has to put the brakes on the whole project.

So far everything could seem more or less normal, but after the bankruptcy of the company Midway, Warner Bros. bought the rights to some of their games and had not counted on Threshold for the production of the new film and that is why they have won the demand for the film giant. We will have to wait until the judge decides the resolution on this case, the only thing clear is that at the moment there is no film.
