This Monday (13) marks the return of the Scottish band Primal Scream with the release of his tenth album, 'More Light', the first since their last record work 'Beautiful Future' in 2008. The new album also marks a turning point in the career of the band, who have just formed their own record label under the name '1st International', with the which edit this album that will be distributed in collaboration with Ignition Records.
Also in this album the bassist Simone Butter joins the band, definitely replacing Gary Manny "Peanut" Mounfield, who left Primal Scream to return to The Stone Roses. Bobby Gillespie, leader of the band described the new work recently as a rock'n'roll album, but with a more modern sound and more oriented to psychedelic rock, where the guitars take the lead in a more orchestral way, not in the way that people normally do rock. Gillespie adds: "We thought this sound was something more interesting nowadays".
The new album was produced by the Irish David Holmes (U2, Doves, Manic Street Preachers) and was recorded at Das Bunker studios in London and Vox Studios in Los Angeles. 'More Light' contains thirteen songs and is available for download in digital format on iTunes and Amazon.com.
