Molins de Rei 2014: Review of “Let Us Prey” by Brian O'Malley

Let Us Prey

After passing through the Edinburgh Festival and the Panorama section of the Sitges Festival, the debut of Brian O'Malley "Let Us Prey" came to Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival.

The film tells the story of a policewoman who begins her first shift on a night in which a force will seek to do divine justice. The night gets complicated and different criminals gather in the dungeon, including a strange man who seems to have come out of nowhere.

Star in this Irish production Pollyanna McIntosh, which horror movie lovers will remember from the film "The Woman" by Lucky McKee among other genre films and Liam Cunningham, which we have seen in the television series "Game of Thrones" ("Game of Thrones") in the role of Davos Seaworth.

«Let Us Prey»Has a most intriguing first half with Liam Cunningham in a disconcerting role for the viewer and with Pollyanna McIntosh as the future heroine of the story.

The second part of the footage reveals the secrets of the characters, something unlikely the coincidence of such sins in a small town like the one in the story, and all of them lead to the expected final massacre.

Un somewhat clumsy outcome especially for its script, but the final result is saved by a quite successful start.

Rating: 5 / 10
