«Pudor» hits theaters

The brothers David and Tristán Ulloa who previously they had gotten several awards for their short film “Ciclo” they are about to see their first feature film screened. Tomorrow, April 13, “Pudor” opens in theaters, an adaptation of the novel by Santiago Roncagliolo that revolves its main theme around isolation and the loneliness in which that isolation immerses you, when, despite being around people makes you feel lonely.

The whole plot centers on a middle-class Spanish family. Nacho Novo ("Not tonight", "The carpenter's pencil") plays a man who, after discovering that he has a terminal illness, decides to hide it and continue living life as if nothing else, in addition, the rest of the family also has its secrets. It can be said that, for each member of the family there is a story and a wall that surrounds it, making a family union impossible, causing sparks to fly.

For this film with small touches of hope blurred between an atmosphere of pessimism, as a setting, the Ulloas, could not have chosen better, the film was shot in the Asturian city of Gijón.

“We wanted to reflect the filtered light and the leaden sky of the northern cities and of this type of cinema. A subdued chromatic, without too much color "

It's certainly not a movie to see if you're down, but it's a must-see movie.

Hopefully the Ulloa work does not go unnoticed on the big screen and is the first of many feature films.
