Television has always been an inexhaustible source of inspiration for many productions that would later be taken to the big screen, something that we have seen on countless occasions such as The six million dollar man o The six million dollar man, a series of great success during the second half of the seventies and the first moments of the eighties.
For this adaptation, there had been talk of Leonardo DiCaprio although finally things have taken a turn and it seems that they have another actor to star in this new remake of the successful series.
Both Universal Pictures and The Weinstein Company want to move forward with the project and possibly Peter Berg will produce and also direct this new version. As for its main actor, the name of DiCaprio no longer sounds so much but now it has gained strength Mark Wahlberg.
This series is about Steve Austin, a pilot who suffers a serious accident while testing an experimental device. Because of this event, he would lose both his legs and the vision in one eye. A secret agency that works for the United States Government decides to implant several cybernetic limbs in him and give him a speed and strength never seen in a human.
