The SAG Foundation, non-profit organization that supports the Actors Guild (SAG), orawarded the Actors Inspiration Award to Leonardo DiCaprio.
The award will be presented to the famous actor on November 5 at the gala celebrating the 30th anniversary of said foundation. With this honorary award we want to recognize not only Leonardo DiCaprio's work as an actor but also his humanitarian work.
Leonardo DiCaprio will be the second performer to be awarded this award after Sofia Vergara, an actress we all know from her role in the television series 'Modern Family' who received it last June.
The actor, who this year will premiere 'The Revenant' by Alejandro González Iñárritu, a film for which he could be one of the great favorites in this new Oscar career, has been nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award up to eight times, in best actor with 'The Aviator' ('The Aviator'), 'Blood Diamonds' (' Blood Diamond ') and' J. Edgar ', in best supporting actor with' The Departed 'and in best distribution with' Marvin's Room '(' Marvin's Room '),' Titanic ',' The aviator 'and' The Departed ', but incredibly it has not been awarded by this guild until now that it receives this honorary recognition.
