Kylie Minogue has signed for the record label Roc Nation, of the rapper Jay Z, as announced by the company on its website. Minogue left last year British record company EMI, whose control had been taken over by Universal, and last month it split from its 25-year manager, Terry Blamey.
Now he joins artists like Rihanna, Shakira or MIA, among others, in the New York-based company, which will increase his presence in the United States. Jay-Z created the company in 2008 by partnering with Live Nation, a ticketing and promotions company.
«We would like to welcome Australian singer, songwriter, actress and designer Kylie Minogue to the Roc Nation family.«Said the company on its website. Minogue, who overcame breast cancer diagnosed in 2005, will appear alongside Timbaland at a benefit concert presented by Roc Nation and Three Six Zero, a London music company, following Sunday's Grammy Awards.
During his 25-year career he has released 11 studio albums, two live albums, eight DVDs with live concerts and a double compilation disc. It has also sold 68 million records worldwide and has had 50 hit singles.
