El Kazan Muslim Film Festival It is something unique in its kind and this year it celebrates its VI edition in two venues, Tatarstan and Chechnya and for this it will have the presence of two great actors, Adrian Brody on the one hand and the great Omar Shariff on the other as guest stars.
Brody will attend the awards ceremony of this contest that concludes today and where more than 80 Muslim-themed films have already been screened, divided into feature films, documentaries, short films and also animation films, all of them from 28 countries.
Among the jury are different filmmakers, actors and producers from various Muslim countries such as Iran, the Arab Emirates, Turkey or Kazakhstan among others or countries with more minorities such as Australia, Italy or Russia among others.
The acceptance of this event has been so much and so good that the authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan have made the decision to get hold of this idea and convert the event, which was once known as “The golden pulpit”, In something itinerant.
